Basketball Recap: Columbus Christian Takes a Loss

Columbus Christian lost against Carroll County back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Columbus Christian Crusaders fell 42-33 to the Carroll County Panthers. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Columbus Christian still got an impressive performance from Olivia Wise, who posted 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. What's more, Wise also posted a 67% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's posted since back in November of 2024.

Columbus Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Carroll County, their victory bumped their record up to 10-13.

Columbus Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Horizon Christian at 6:00 p.m. on February 18th. Columbus Christian is facing Horizon Christian at the right time seeing as Horizon Christian is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Carroll County, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Panthers challenge the Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
