Baseball Game Preview: Hartford Central Tanagers vs. Lake George Lakers

The Hartford Central Tanagers will venture away from home to take on the Lake George Lakers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Hartford Central managed to slip by Salem the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tanagers came up short against the Generals on Friday, falling 12-2. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Tanagers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lake George came out on top against Bolton Central on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run sixth inning. The Lakers put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 15-5 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Lakers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Lake George's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Hartford Central, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-5 record.

Everything went Hartford Central's way against Lake George when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Hartford Central made off with a 14-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tanagers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
