Mantachie came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Myrtle Hawks as they made off with an 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Mantachie's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Myrtle, they moved to 15-4 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Mantachie will take on Oxford at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Myrtle, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Ripley at 6:30 p.m.
