Basketball Recap: Fuquay - Varina Comes Up Short

Fuquay - Varina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 61-28 defeat at the hands of the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent loss being a 54-13 defeat back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southeast Raleigh to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jada Rhodes, who posted 15 points. Those 15 points gave Rhodes a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Trinity Dunn, who had 12 points.

Fuquay - Varina's loss dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Southeast Raleigh, the win (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 24-1.

As of now, neither Fuquay - Varina nor Southeast Raleigh have any future games scheduled.
