Volleyball Game Preview: Lake Region Lakers vs. Brunswick Dragons

Lake Region is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Brunswick a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Saturday. The Lake Region Lakers will welcome the Brunswick Dragons at 12:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Lake Region lost 3-0 to Gardiner on Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-14, 25-8.

Meanwhile, Brunswick came up short against Brewer on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Brunswick took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-10, 25-16.

Brunswick's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Lake Region, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Lake Region couldn't quite get it done against Brunswick when the teams last played back in September of 2023 as they fell 3-1. Can the Lakers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
