Little Axe took a 16-run loss the last time they faced off against Casady, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Little Axe skirted past Casady 8-6. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the 19-3 win the Cyclones walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Stroud Tucker, who scored a run and stole a base while going 4-for-5. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was J.J. Tucker, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Little Axe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.

Little Axe moved to 3-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Casady, they dropped their record down to 2-3 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Little Axe will have a chance to go back-to-back against Casady: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
