Volleyball Recap: Mira Costa Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Mira Costa waltzed into their game on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Everything went their way against the South Spartans as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

One reason for the win was Mira Costa's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-13, 25-12.

Mira Costa pushed their record up to 23-1 with the win, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season. As for South, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.

Mira Costa will be playing at home against Marist at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. The RedHawks will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. After both having extra time off, South and Redondo Union will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on the 15th.
