Basketball Game Preview: Randleman Tigers vs. Southwestern Randolph Cougars

The Randleman Tigers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Southwestern Randolph Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Randleman comes in on three and Southwestern Randolph on 24.

On Monday, Randleman didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Wheatmore, but they still walked away with a 38-32 victory.

Randleman found their leader in freshman Jacquline McDaniel, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Byman, who put up seven points.

Meanwhile, Southwestern Randolph got the win against East Davidson on Wednesday by a conclusive 55-31. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matches by 24 points or more this season.

Southwestern Randolph pushed their record up to 24-0 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points over those games. As for Randleman, their victory bumped their record up to 15-9.

Randleman came up short against Southwestern Randolph when the teams last played back in January, falling 48-40. Can Randleman avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
