Volleyball Recap: Hononegah Indians vs. DeKalb Barbs

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hononegah had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the DeKalb Barbs by a score of 2-0. The win was nothing new for the Indians as they're now sitting on four straight.

Hononegah's not only won, but also showed off some consistency: keeping DeKalb between 15 and 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-15.

Lili Fox paced Hononegah's offense, picking up nine kills. Fox got some help from Courtney McWilliams and her 19 assists. Cami Jenkins and Addison Erb kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Hononegah has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 28-8 record this season. As for DeKalb, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-20.

Hononegah wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Hampshire on the 31st. DeKalb does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
