Football Recap: San Clemente Comes Up Short

San Clemente fell victim to San Marcos and their airtight defense on Saturday. They lost 26-0 to the Royals. While losing is never fun, the Tritons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Royals are ranked tenth).

This is the second loss in a row for San Clemente and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for San Marcos, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

San Clemente has already played their next game, a 19-13 win against Northwood on the 30th. As for San Marcos, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-0 victory against San Juan Hills on the 30th.
