Baseball Recap: Grand Valley Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Grand Valley fell victim to Pymatuning Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Lakers by a score of 1-0. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lakers earlier this season, when they won 7-0.

Grand Valley's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4. As for Pymatuning Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-3.

Grand Valley and Pymatuning Valley should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Mustangs (ranked 274th) will meet Lakeside (ranked 646th) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Pymatuning Valley will challenge Conneaut at 5:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (371 vs. 754). The timing is sure in the Lakers' favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while the Spartans have been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road.
