Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Hailey Kerchner and Makenna Stuckey Lead Dakota to Victory

Dakota won the last time they faced South Beloit and things went their way on Monday too. The Dakota Indians strolled past the South Beloit Sobos with points to spare, taking the game 42-27. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Leading Dakota to victory were Makenna Stuckey and Hailey Kerchner. Stuckey posted 21 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Kerchner earned 11 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The game was Stuckey's fifth in a row with at least 16 points.

Dakota's win bumped their record up to 14-10. As for South Beloit, they now have a losing record at 13-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dakota and Durand will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Dakota is facing Durand at the right time seeing as Durand is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for South Beloit, they will host Earlville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
