Softball Recap: Valle Catholic Comes Up Short

Valle Catholic lost to West County last Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors fell 11-7 to the Bulldogs.

Reece Weiler and Payton Naeger stepped up to the plate in a big way. Weiler went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Naeger got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Vaeth, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Valle Catholic has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for West County, they pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Valle Catholic nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
