Baseball Recap: Timpanogos Wins Going Away Against Mountain View

Timpanogos won the last time they faced Mountain View and things went their way on Thursday too. The Timberwolves put the hurt on the Bruins with a sharp 16-3 win. Considering the Timberwolves have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Jace Hunter was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Hawkes, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Timpanogos kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mountain View only managed eight hits.

The victory made it two in a row for Timpanogos and bumps their season record up to 16-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Mountain View, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Timpanogos will have a chance to go back-to-back against Mountain View: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
