Sterling kept up with Liberty Common until halftime on Wednesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Eagles put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 7-1 victory. Considering Liberty Common have won six contests by more than four goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Miriam Huffsmith and Natalee Fritzler scored all seven of Liberty Common's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 32 goals.

The win got Liberty Common back to even at 6-6-1. As for Sterling, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-5-2 record.

Liberty Common has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Weld Central on the 1st. As for Sterling, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Frontier Academy on the 1st.
