Alburnett won the last time they faced Maquoketa Valley and things went their way on Friday too. The Alburnett Pirates walked away with a 65-56 victory over the Maquoketa Valley Wildcats. The win was familiar territory for the Pirates who have now won five contests in a row.

Alburnett is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points per game. As for Maquoketa Valley, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-5.

Alburnett will host North Linn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
