Soccer Recap: Bishop Kelley Comes Up Short

Bishop Kelley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Shawnee Wolves. Bishop Kelley were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Shawnee apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Bishop Kelley's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Shawnee, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, Bishop Kelley and Shawnee will both be playing McAlester the next time they take the pitch. The Comets will head out to face the Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Wolves will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
