Santa Paula is 9-1 against Nordhoff since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Santa Paula got a big performance out of Ariana Gaeta, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Those hits marked the first that Gaeta got this season. Ali Espinosa was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Even though they lost, Santa Paula was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. This was only their first loss (out of three games) when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Nordhoff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-3 to Ventura.

Santa Paula's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Nordhoff, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Everything went Santa Paula's way against Nordhoff when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Santa Paula made off with a 12-6 win. Does Santa Paula have another victory up their sleeve, or will Nordhoff turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
