Soccer Recap: Air Academy Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Air Academy's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Discovery Canyon Thunder a 2-0 shutout. Given Air Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 50th, while Discovery Canyon are ranked 166th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Air Academy will take on Pueblo East at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Air Academy will be up against Pueblo East's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.85 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Discovery Canyon, they will face off against Lutheran at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
