Softball Recap: Jackson Memorial Comes Up Short

Jackson Memorial managed to slip by Toms River East the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Jaguars lost 13-3 to the Raiders on Thursday. The Jaguars just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Makayla Parikh and Emma Sandoval did some serious damage despite the final result: Parikh went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI, while Sandoval went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That RBI was Parikh's first of the season.

Jackson Memorial now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Toms River East, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson Memorial will take on New Egypt at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Toms River East, they will challenge Barnegat at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bengals will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
