Basketball Recap: Blackhawk's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to 15

Blackhawk had won 14 straight games and Aubree Hupp did her part to make it 15 on Thursday. The Blackhawk Cougars breezed past the Laurel Highlands Mustangs to the tune of 59-32 thanks in part to Hupp, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and 13 rebounds. Her evening made it 29 games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Sheesley, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 12 points. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 15 times she's played.

Blackhawk's victory bumped their record up to 22-2. As for Laurel Highlands, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-6.

Looking ahead, Blackhawk will square off against Elizabeth Forward on Monday. Blackhawk knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Elizabeth Forward likes a good challenge. Laurel Highlands does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
