Basketball Recap: St. John's Takes a Loss

St. John lost against Episcopal back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The St. John's Mavericks lost 49-29 to the Episcopal Knights. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. John's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Episcopal, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. John's will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart at 5:00 p.m. on February 4th. As for Episcopal, they will venture away from home to square off against Legacy School of Sport Sciences at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
