Recap: Sparks Railroaders vs. Truckee Wolverines
The Sparks Railroaders had to endure a ten-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 68-62 W over Truckee on Thursday. Sparks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Sparks' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adrian Banuelos Puga led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaoquin Tagulao, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Sparks' win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14. As for Truckee, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sparks will take on South Tahoe at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully South Tahoe focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Wednesday. As for Truckee, they will head out on the road to face off against Hug at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Hug focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Wednesday.
