Softball Preview: Flathead Braves/Bravettes vs. Great Falls Bison

Flathead is 1-6 against Great Falls since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit in their first game on Tuesday. The Flathead Braves/Bravettes will be staying on the road to face off against the Great Falls Bison at 2:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Flathead was handed a ten-point defeat in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Helena in their second game on Saturday. Flathead narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Helena 5-3. The win was just what Flathead needed coming off of a 10-0 loss in their prior match.

Macey McIlhargey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits.

On the hitting side, Flathead saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kinsey Lake, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and a double.
