Baseball Game Preview: Ponderosa Bruins vs. Bella Vista Broncos

The Ponderosa Bruins are taking a road trip to take on the Bella Vista Broncos at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ponderosa will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Ponderosa took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Bella Vista 6-5. While the Bruins didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-23), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Ponderosa saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Snyder, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI. Tyler Purdom was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Bella Vista's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Ponderosa, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-4.
