Unity Christian had won three straight on the road, but  on Thursday they bumped their record up to 8-1 to make it four. They blew past the Vicksburg Bulldogs 15-5. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six  runs or more this season.
As for Vicksburg,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 10-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat they have suffered  since May 10, 2024.
 For Vicksburg's part,  Kayla Chisholm made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with one  home run, two  RBI,  and one  double.  Abby Ford also deserves some recognition as  she  brought in her first  RBI of the season.
 Looking ahead, Unity Christian is taking a road trip to  face off against Spring Lake  at 4:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lakers have averaged an impressive 11.4  runs per game this season. As for Vicksburg, they will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against Paw Paw  at 4:00  p.m.
