The Fort Edward Flying Forts will head out to face off against the Whitehall Railroaders at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Fort Edward is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

Fort Edward came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Corinth, falling 12-2. The Flying Forts haven't had much luck with the Riverhawks recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Fort Edward saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rue Quarters, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Whitehall lost 19-3 to Granville on April 9th.

Fort Edward's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Whitehall, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Fort Edward might still be hurting after the 11-3 defeat they got from Whitehall in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Flying Forts avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
