After having lost a blowout in their previous game, Austin was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They never let the James Clemens Jets get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Black Bears: when they faced off against the Jets on Friday, they had to take a 8-2 loss.

Bryant Jones made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over seven innings pitched. Jones was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Riley Grigg was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

Austin's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 9-22. As for James Clemens, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 24-10 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Jets beat Austin by a score of 7-4 later that day.
