Baseball Game Preview: Midview Middies vs. Olmsted Falls Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Midview will face off against Olmsted Falls. The Middies will host the Bulldogs at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Midview is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Olmsted Falls just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

For Olmsted Falls' part, Sam Kolasky looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Kolasky also tossed no walks, which is notable because the Bulldogs are 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 4-8 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Luke Perkins was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ryan Henderson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

The win was the third in a row for Olmsted Falls, bringing their record up to 6-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Midview, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.
