Soccer Game Preview: Brandon vs. Owosso

Brandon is a perfect 4-0 against Owosso since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Blackhawks will look to defend their home pitch against the Trojans at 6:30 p.m. Brandon's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Monday just wasn't the day for Brandon's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Holly on Monday. While losing is never fun, Brandon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 371st, while Holly are ranked 159th).

Meanwhile, Owosso had to endure an eight-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They never let Alma get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Friday.

Brandon's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Owosso, the victory was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 2-8.

Everything went Brandon's way against Owosso when the teams last played back in May of 2025, as Brandon made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Blackhawks repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
