Sugar-Salem put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past the Kimberly Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 60-42. Given the Diggers' advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while the Bulldogs are ranked 41st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sugar-Salem's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andee Petterson, who went 7 of 12 on her way to 17 points along with eight assists and three steals. The dominant performance gave Petterson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Harris, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 boards.

Sugar-Salem smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in nine consecutive games.

Despite the defeat, Kimberly had strong showings from Taya Plew, who posted 14 points, and Brooklyn Verwey, who put up 11 points.

Sugar-Salem's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-0. As for Kimberly, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Sugar-Salem will square off against American Falls at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kimberly, they will challenge Jerome on Tuesday.
