Murrieta Valley took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Roosevelt 48-13. A big part of Murrieta Valley's win came down to the chemistry between Ty Isaia and his top target Kayden Borden. Isaia threw for 262 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 passes while Borden picked up 211 receiving yards and one score. Those 211 receiving yards gave Borden a new career-high. Royal Randolph also helped with two TDs in total.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Murrieta Valley, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Jacob Taddi, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Murrieta Valley will have to contain Brady Annett as he made an impact in Corona del Mar's last game. He threw for 255 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in one score on the ground. Garrett James was Annett's top target, picking up 104 receiving yards and one TD.
Corona del Mar didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tucker Murray and Cash Pearsall. Pearsall is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made seven or more in each of the last five games he's played.
