Bureau Valley came out on top against Galva on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run fifth inning. The Storm were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Wildcats. The Storm might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Bureau Valley got a big performance out of Carly Reglin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits Reglin has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Emily Wright, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
The victory got Bureau Valley back to even at 15-15. As for Galva, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bureau Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Annawan-Wethersfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Galva will face off against rival Biggsville West Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
