Baseball Recap: Calvary Chapel Academy Takes a Loss

Calvary Chapel Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 13-3 to the St. Edward's Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 back in February.

Silas Wilson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Mauricio Urdaneta, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Calvary Chapel Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for St. Edward's, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Calvary Chapel Academy will head out to face off against Tradition Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Edward's, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Berean Christian at 6:00 p.m. Berean Christian has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.38 runs per game on average), something St. Edward's will no doubt try to take advantage of.
