Recap: Heritage Patriots vs. Paloma Valley Wildcats
After a string of three wins, the Heritage Patriots's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 72-65 to Paloma Valley. Heritage was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Paloma Valley apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Heritage still got an impressive performance from Aaron Contreras, who scored 27 points. Another player making a difference was Adrian Viray, who scored 11 points.
Heritage's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 8-13. As for Paloma Valley, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Heritage will head out on the road to square off against Lakeside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeside has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 396 points over their last six games. As for Paloma Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Canyon Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Canyon Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Monday.
