Softball Recap: Triway Takes a Loss

Triway had lost four straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped down to 15-7 to make it five. They came up short against the Manchester Panthers, falling 7-0. If the Titans were looking for revenge after losing 11-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Manchester, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games.

For Manchester's part, not much got past Payton Klockenga, who gave up just a hit and racked up six Ks to keep Triway off the board. Klockenga has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Manchester let Jordan Allen and Cassidy Perry run wild. Allen went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Perry went 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Wayman, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

While Triway had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
