Basketball Recap: Pacific Comes Up Short

Pacific lost against San Bernardino back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Pacific Pirates had to suffer through a 96-20 loss at the hands of the San Bernardino Cardinals. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-15.

When it comes to explaining why Pacific lost, don't look at Maurice Fitzgerald. Despite the final result, he posted six points along with 17 boards and five blocks. Fitzgerald is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least 12 every time he's taken the court this season. Gerone Semedi was another key player, putting up three points and three steals.

Pacific dropped their record down to 2-16 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for San Bernardino, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-10.

Pacific won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Entrepreneur at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pacific is facing Entrepreneur at the right time seeing as Entrepreneur is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for San Bernardino, they will challenge Miller at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
