Baseball Recap: Henryville Comes Up Short

Henryville lost against Perry Central back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Hornets fell 8-5 to the Commodores. The Hornets' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Chase Byrd was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and five RBI. He also scored a run, marking his first of the season. Dustin O'Bannon was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Henryville's record is now 1-5. As for Perry Central, they moved to 2-4 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, Henryville will square off against Scottsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Perry Central, they will face off against Rock Creek Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
