Basketball Recap: Grand Valley's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Grand Valley has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-55 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pymatuning Valley Lakers. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lakers earlier this season, when they won 37-35.

Zoey Painter continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pymatuning Valley, putting up 20 points and four steals. Painter is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mae Struna, who posted 12 points and six boards.

Grand Valley's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4. As for Pymatuning Valley, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.

Grand Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 74-48 win against Conneaut on the 25th. As for Pymatuning Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 69-18 victory against Brookfield on the 25th.
