Volleyball Recap: Orange Glen Comes Up Short

Orange Glen lost against Maranatha Christian back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Patriots came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Orange Glen was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Maranatha Christian's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-15, 25-19.

Duncan Frumess paced Orange Glen's offense, picking up seven kills. Frumess got some help from Giovanni Morales and his 16 assists. Morales was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Orange Glen's defeat dropped their record down to 9-20. As for Maranatha Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Orange Glen nor Maranatha Christian have any future games scheduled.
