Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Indianapolis Crispus Attucks walked away with it. They took down the New Palestine Dragons 67-49 on Saturday. The Tigers are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 13 straight.

Indianapolis Crispus Attucks' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dezmon Briscoe, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Briscoe has been hot for a while, having also posted three or more blocks the last 16 times he's played. Another player making a difference was AJ Jones, who shot 83% from the field to rack up 15 points.

Indianapolis Crispus Attucks was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Palestine only racked up seven assists.

Loss or not, New Palestine got some senior leadership from Julius Gizzi and Keagan Harrison. Gizzi posted 22 points and three steals, while Harrison had nine points. That was a full 44.9% of New Palestine's points, marking the fifth time in a row Gizzi has put up more than a third of the team's points.

Indianapolis Crispus Attucks' win bumped their record up to 23-6. As for New Palestine, they moved to 26-4 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Coming up, Indianapolis Crispus Attucks will square off against South Bend Saint Joseph at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. South Bend Saint Joseph will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Indianapolis Crispus Attucks surely won't give up without a fight.
