Basketball Recap: Aquinas Takes a Loss

Aquinas lost against Hephzibah back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Aquinas Fightin' Irish took a 44-28 bruising from the Hephzibah Rebels. The Fightin' Irish just can't catch a break and have now endured seven losses in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hephzibah to victory, but perhaps none more so than ISAIAH RICHARDSON, who posted nine points and eight boards. JAMARCUS SALMOND was another key player, putting up 11 points and six rebounds.

Aquinas' defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Hephzibah, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-13 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aquinas has already played their next matchup (against West Laurens), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hephzibah won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Laney at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Laney will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Hephzibah surely won't give up without a fight.
