Basketball Recap: Jake Schutt Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Woodbridge

Servite saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 63-53 win over the Woodbridge Warriors. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Friars.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Servite to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jake Schutt, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance also gave Schutt a new career-high in field goal percentage (64%). Another player making a difference was Tariq Johnson, who shot 64% from the field to rack up 21 points and five assists.

Servite's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Woodbridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Servite wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 61-60 win against Loyola on the 22nd. As for Woodbridge, they have also already played their next game, a 54-41 victory against Ontario Christian on the 22nd.
