Basketball Recap: Pilot Point Takes a Loss

Pilot Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 59-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whitesboro Bearcats. While losing is never fun, Pilot Point can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1105th, while Whitesboro is ranked 295th).

Pilot Point's record now sits at 6-13. As for Whitesboro, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

Pilot Point will take on Valley View at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pilot Point is facing Valley View at the right time seeing as Valley View is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Whitesboro, they will challenge Boyd at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Boyd is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.6 points per game this season.
