Volleyball Recap: Immaculate Heart Academy's Winning Streak Snapped at Seven Games

It was a good run, but Immaculate Heart Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to the Wayne Valley Indians. The Blue Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Immaculate Heart Academy might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Wayne Valley: every set was decided by exactly two points. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-23.

Lilith Roman and Emma Fowler certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Roman had 24 digs, while Fowler had 12 digs and two aces. Roman is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season.

Immaculate Heart Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Wayne Valley, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Immaculate Heart Academy will face off against Midland Park at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wayne Valley, they will take on Saddle River Day at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
