Volleyball Recap: Danielle Hubert and Charlotte Preto Secure Win for Avon Lake

Avon Lake picked up another tournament win on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Max S. Hayes Lakers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Shoremen.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Avon Lake was: they took every set by at least 20 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-1, 25-5, 25-2.

Avon Lake was led to victory by Charlotte Preto and Danielle Hubert. Preto had 15 aces, while Hubert had five aces. Those 15 aces gave Preto a new career-high. Emerson Burgess also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Avon Lake was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 37 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Avon Lake's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Max S. Hayes, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Avon Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Bay on the 21st. Max S. Hayes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
