Football Game Preview: Oak Ridge Pioneers vs. Evans Trojans + How To Watch

Oak Ridge hasn't had much luck against Evans recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Pioneers will challenge the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Evans took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Oak Ridge, who comes in off a win.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Oak Ridge and Cypress Creek have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Pioneers walked away with a 33-25 victory over the Bears. The Pioneers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Oak Ridge found their leader in sophomore Joshua Northern, who rushed for 108 yards and two scores. Those 108 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Northern.

Meanwhile, Evans was just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 29-28 to Oviedo.

Evans' loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-2. As for Oak Ridge, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-4.

Oak Ridge was taken down by Evans 69-0 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Pioneers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
