The 2019 high school football season is in the books for teams in and around Dallas and the final MaxPreps Computer Rankings have been produced.
Class 6A Division 1 runner-up Duncanville (15-1) is No. 1 despite a disappointing loss to end its season. An untimely injury to quarterback Ja'Quinden Jackson forced the Panthers to face North Shore in the championship game shorthanded.
Southlake Carroll (13-1) suffered its only loss of the season to Duncanville in the quarterfinals and earned the No. 2 spot.
Class 6A Division 2 runner-up Denton Guyer (14-2), Class 5A Division 1 finalist Denton Ryan (15-1) and Arlington Martin (11-2) round out the top five.
The MaxPreps Computer Rankings take into account quality wins (against other highly ranked opponents) and strength of schedule. Playoff wins are weighted heavier than regular season games.
