Softball Recap: Valley View Comes Up Short

Valley View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 10-5 to the Carlisle Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-10 last Wednesday.

Emily Woodward made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Megan Coleman, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Valley View's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10-1. As for Carlisle, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Valley View will challenge rival Oakwood at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Carlisle is set to take on their familiar foe Brookville at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
