Basketball Recap: Fulton Pirates vs. Coleman Comets
The Fulton Pirates won the last time they faced the Coleman Comets, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Fulton strolled past the Comets with points to spare, taking the game 32-15. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Fulton.
Coleman's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Emily VanSickle, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds and four blocks, and Nevaeh Chaffee who scored four points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Fulton's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Coleman, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fulton will take on the Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Michigan (Laingsburg is ranked 289th, while the Pirates are ranked 286th). As for Coleman, they will head out on the road to square off against the Vandals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
